We’ll explore possibilities and outline a custom quote together. Your $100 retainer secures your time and is credited to your final project if we move forward.

Kate Starling Studios Booking & Policies

Things to know…

Booking & Retainers

  • All bookings require a non-refundable retainer to secure your date.

  • Retainers are credited toward your final project balance.

  • If you cancel or reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, the retainer is forfeited.

  • With more than 48 hours’ notice, your retainer can be transferred to a new date within 30 days.

Payments

  • Payments are due on or before the final project delivery date.

  • Projects over $500 require at least 50% of the estimate as a down payment before work begins.

  • Exceptions to payment terms may be made in extreme situations at my discretion, but please note that your retainer secures my time and schedule.

Travel & Service Area

  • Travel is included within Cleveland, Warren, and up to 60 miles between these regions.

  • Additional mileage is billed at $0.50/mile.

  • For multi-day events over 90 miles away, overnight accommodations may be required.

Intellectual Property & Usage

  • All images, video, and voiceover content remain the intellectual property of Kate Starling Studios until final payment is received.

  • Licensing for commercial distribution will be quoted separately based on project scope and distribution.

Model / Talent Releases

  • Clients agree to sign any necessary releases for on-camera, voice, or photography usage, as needed, to allow inclusion in portfolios and marketing materials.

Scope of Work

  • Project scope will be confirmed during consultation and documented by estimate or invoice.

  • Changes or additions beyond the confirmed scope may be billed at my hourly rate of the estimated project.

File Storage

  • Final deliverables will be stored for 90 days after project completion. Longer-term archiving can be quoted upon request.

Rescheduling

  • Reschedules are allowed once within 30 days of the original appointment. Additional reschedules beyond that may incur a $50 rescheduling fee.

Liability & Force Majeure

  • Kate Starling Studios is not responsible for weather, venue issues, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.

  • Neither party shall be held liable for failure to perform due to acts of nature, government action, public health emergencies, or other force majeure events. Reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule or adapt if these occur.

COVID-19 & Illness

  • If you or I are sick or otherwise unsafe to meet, we agree to communicate as early as possible and reschedule safely without penalty.
